My name is
Corinne Assayag and this web site represents a personal
passion of mine, namely environmental protection. In the months
to come, I will be posting information about the Taiga forest
and the threats it is facing.
The
Taiga is a boreal forest which is the world's largest land
ecosystem. The Taiga spans across the northern regions of
Canada, Alaska, Russia, Asia and Europe. The Taiga forest is rich in
plant life which helps provide the world with the oxygen it
needs and helps control global warming. It is home to many animal species who rely on the forest for survival.
